The weather outlook is naturally as varied as the countries that can be traveled to. The rule of thumb is therefore: somewhere there is always the right climate! In addition to the summer travel season, winter sports enthusiasts also get their money’s worth in the European mountain regions. The first signs of spring on the upper Italian lakes, the grape harvest in autumn, long walks on the beach in November, wellness in February: even outside the classic travel seasons, the weather in your vacation destination often offers a very special charm.

Tips for the vacation

It’s best to explore travel options to your vacation destination in advance; there are often more alternatives than you might think. Traveling by train, for example, can be a good idea, especially if parking fees for the car still have to be factored in on site; this applies to city trips in particular.

Another tip for the travel season: if demand is high in the summer, it may be worthwhile to switch to the early or late season. The hotel prices are often cheaper, the choice is greater – and in many cases the weather also plays along.

Entry and visa

Entry for EU citizens to the destinations offered is basically uncomplicated. Travel documents include passport or identity card. A temporary passport and also a temporary identity card are usually recognized, EU citizens do not need a visa.
